ENERGY PRICE CUTS LIKELY -BUT ONLY IF YOU VOTE CONSERVATIVE…
The Conservatives have frozen vehicle fuel duty since 2011 saving average car drivers over £650 per year. Without the stranglehold of the threat of state control, retail prices have now fallen by typically £1.35/gallon, allowing average consumers a further £600 per year to keep for themselves and spend on their family’s needs.
Ed Miliband, the leader of the Labour party, made a pledge in 2013 that he would freeze home energy bills if he were to win the general election of 2015.
That pledge looks increasingly insulting to householders across the country now.
With oil prices having halved in the last few months and wholesale energy costs having fallen, retail energy costs COULD have fallen by over £100 for everyone, but with the energy companies worried about state intervention into the retail energy market by a future left-wing “Miliband knows best” administration, they are unable to reduce retail prices in order to maintain adequate investment in the market & avoid black-outs.
Mr Miliband now has the cheek to say wholesale cost reductions should be passed on to consumers.
The reality is that his unworkable idea to freeze prices has had the opposite effect. Bosses of energy companies have stated that they cannot reduce retail prices with this uncertainty. With a Conservative government being elected this year, energy companies will then be able to pass on the cost reductions without the fear of the state strangling their revenue streams.
The conclusion is clear – if you wants costs to remain low, VOTE FOR BEN GUMMER AND THE CONSERVATIVES. Any other result will result in complete chaos and economic mis-management.
