The Government has announced that hotels across the country currently used for asylum-applicants, are to return to their normal commercial purposes.
Tom Hunt MP says "Very pleased the Novotel is going back to its proper use. I’m going to be contacted officially by Home Office soon where all the details will be outlined.
"I’ve strongly opposed the use of the hotel from the word go. I brought forward a special debate in Parliament on the issue and have raised time and time again with the PM and relevant Ministers.
"We are in the first tranche of hotels that will be cleared. Very pleased about this."
